ACTION IFTARI

In combination with their regular activities, Merhamet organizes the action iftar to them who fast and don't have anywhere to eat during Ramadan, this has become a tradition.

With the help of its members, not only in Sweden but also neighbouring countries, also with Bosnian Islamic communities and Bosnian-Herzegovina associations I Sweden we have accomplished successfully by reaching our goals:
- To visit as much as possible of Bosnia and Herzegovina
- To visit many of them who have returned
- To try and visit the territories around the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, those who are hard to reach
- To visit them who fast during the fast month

Of course there are even those who don't know of our activities. By getting to know them better and referring them to us we can both help them and others.

In average we pack up 4150 packages to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where on package contains following 10 articles:

o Flour 5kg
o Rice 1kg
o Coffee 200g
o Paste 500g
o Juice 1 litre
o A bag of sweets
o Cooking oil 1 litre
o Salt 1kg
o Sugar 1kg
o Chocolate 100g

Besides this we also buy a few tons of flour for the soup kitchens were they make the iftars.

We hope that we will this year, during Ramadan, make more of this and make it better, in that way we do what we are able to do and want to do.
